Terms of Service

By accessing or using ReconXchange, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use ReconXchange.

ReconXchange is a marketplace that connects customers with independent automotive reconditioning providers for services such as detailing, paint correction, dent repair, wheel repair, glass repair, and interior repair.

You may create an account using an email address and password, or by signing in with Google. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

ReconXchange facilitates discovery, service requests, quotes, bookings, and communication between customers and Pros. We do not ourselves perform reconditioning services.

Pros are independent businesses or individuals. Unless we explicitly state otherwise, Pros are not employees, agents, or representatives of ReconXchange, and ReconXchange is not a party to the service agreement between a customer and a Pro.

As a customer, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information in your service requests
• Make the vehicle reasonably available for the requested service, and confirm you own the vehicle or are otherwise authorized to request service on it
• Cooperate reasonably with the Pro to complete the request (e.g. responding to questions, providing access, and being available at agreed times)

As a Pro, you agree to:

• Provide accurate business, profile, and application information, and keep it up to date
• Hold any licensing, insurance, or certifications required by law for the services you offer
• Perform services with reasonable skill and care, and in compliance with applicable law

Quotes and pricing shown on ReconXchange may vary based on vehicle condition, scope of work, location, and the individual Pro, and are estimates unless a Pro confirms otherwise.

Where ReconXchange charges a marketplace fee, booking fee, or passes through a payment processor fee, that fee will be disclosed to you before you are charged. Some payment and booking flows described here may not yet be fully available on the platform; where a feature is not yet live, it does not apply to your use of the service until it is.

Cancellation, rescheduling, and refund terms may vary by Pro and by the specifics of a request or booking, and will be presented at the relevant step where applicable. We encourage customers and Pros to resolve disputes about a specific job directly and in good faith. ReconXchange may, but is not obligated to, help facilitate a resolution and does not guarantee any particular outcome, refund, or remedy.

You agree not to:

• Provide false or misleading information, or create a fake or duplicate account
• Use the service for fraud, abuse, harassment, or any unlawful purpose
• Scrape, crawl, or extract data from ReconXchange except as permitted by robots.txt or with our written permission
• Attempt to bypass ReconXchange’s platform processes (for example, to avoid applicable fees) where such processes apply
• Interfere with or disrupt the security or proper functioning of the service

You may submit content such as photos, service descriptions, reviews, and provider profile content (“User Content”). You retain ownership of your User Content. By submitting it, you grant ReconXchange a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, and otherwise process that content as needed to operate and provide the marketplace (for example, showing your request photos to a Pro, or displaying a review on a provider profile).

You are responsible for User Content you submit and confirm you have the right to share it.

ReconXchange relies on third-party services to operate, including Google Sign-In for authentication, Supabase for authentication and data storage, payment processors, hosting providers, and, where used, mapping and location services. Your use of those integrations may also be subject to that provider’s own terms.

ReconXchange does not guarantee the availability of any Pro, the accuracy of any quote or price, or the results, quality, or outcome of any service performed by a Pro. The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind except as required by applicable law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ReconXchange will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the service, including services performed by a Pro. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

You may stop using ReconXchange, and request deletion of your account, at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms, poses a risk to the marketplace or other users, or as otherwise reasonably necessary to operate the service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Effective date” at the top of this page. Continued use of ReconXchange after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
